Sodwana Bay Lodge, carefully designed to match the rustic eco-orientated nature of the region. It is set in the heart of Maputaland, close to the pristine Lake Shazibe, behind the world's highest natural dunes, but a short distance from the sea. Sodwana Nature Reserve lies adjacent to Africa's southern-most coral reefs.
Sodwana Bay Lodge boasts the only 5-star PADI diving school in the district certified to train and license divers to international instructor level. Sodwana Bay National Park, world renowned as a diving destination and chosen by more South Africans to qualify as scuba divers than anywhere else.
The school has a fully equipped dive shop, an on site 3 metre dive pool and organises a comprehensive range of day and night ocean and qualifying dives. Join the Magnum Fishing Charters for a deep-sea fishing adventure, operated by the highly knowledgeable Richard Scott. Or you can test your wits and skills against the noble marlin and combative game fish.
Sodwana Bay Lodge has all the facilities to host rewarding Spirit of Africa conferences and functions, and are building a growing reputation as a premier locale for stimulating teambuilding and incentive ventures. Turtle Tours at Sodwana Bay beach

Guests at Sodwana Bay Lodge can go on seasonal Turtle Tours (about December-February). Guests can watch how Leatherback and Loggerhead Turtles lay their eggs on the beach. Later, the little hatchlings make their way into the Indian Ocean.
